European Commission Decisions on Competition now available with Cambridge University Press

This reference book offers a classification and analysis of all European Commission decisions adopted pursuant to European antitrust rule (i.e. Articles 101, 102 and 106 of the FEU Treaty) from the Treaty of Rome of 1957, up to and including 2009.

December 1st: Merging Market Authorities: Mix & Match

The Dutch cabinet is preparing an institutional merger between the Dutch competition authority (NMa), the telecom regulator (OPTA) and the consumer authority (CA). The integration of sector-specific and generic regulators raises fundamental questions.

This workshop offers an opportunity for a plenary discussion on the merger’s impact on the quality of supervision. Leading academics in public governance, law and economics will introduce various aspects of setting up a successful integrated market authority.

PhD Defense Martijn A. Han: 'Vertical Relations in Cartel Theory'

September 23rd Martijn A. Han defended his dissertation 'Vertical Relations in Cartel Theory'. In this dissertation Martijn Han (1980) studies how hierarchical (vertical) relations with superiors can incentivize managers to form a cartel.
